Undergraduate Studies Public Administration and European Administration (Full-Time)

 

Admissions conditions

 

The Faculty of Public Administration offers full-time (FT), and distance learning (DL) courses for the following undergraduate specializations: “public administration” (FT and DL), “European administration” (FT). Undergraduate studies have a duration of 3 years (both for FT and DL students).

To participate in the admission process, candidates must have graduated high school (any specialization) and hand in a contest dossier at the Admission office, according to the official admission calendar (available here for FT and here for DL).

The admission contest consists of a written exam (a multiple-choice item test) at one of the following disciplines: Economy, Geography, History, English language, Romanian language, State and Democracy). The test items (300 for every discipline) are available starting with the moth of April, every year, on our internet page (here). The exam consists of 30 items (selected prom the public item list).

The admission average is calculated according to the following formula:

{(written exam grade * 80) + (baccalaureate exam average * 20)} / 100

2018 ADMISSION TEST ITEMS

FULL-TIME LEARNING ADMISSIONS CALENDAR

During the matriculation period, the candidate that passed the admission examination and wish to enroll will deposit their baccalaurate diploma in original at the secretariat office and they will acquit the matriculation fee. Candidates that were admitted on unsubsidized positions can matriculate only after paying the matriculation fee and the first installment of their tuition. Matriculation takes place at the Admissions Office - FT 2018 - Rooms 610 and 608, 6th floor, NUPSPA (Bld. Expoziției nr. 30A, sector 1, București).

If a candidate does not matriculate during the periods presented in the admission calendar, he will lose the positon previously won through the admission examination.

For the 2018/2019 academic year:

· 2018 admission enrolment fee: 150 lei

· matriculation fee: 100 lei

· tuition for distance learning: 2900 lei (the first instalment must be payed by the 31st of October 2018: 1000 lei; the second instalment must be payed by the 31st of January 2019: 1000 lei; the third instalment must be payed by the 31st of May 2019: 900 lei)

ADMISSION DOSSIER

In order to take the 2018 admission examination, interested persons have to submit an admission dossier (envelope file) at the ADMISSIONS OFFICE, which will contain the following:

  • baccalaureate diploma or equivalent (authenticated copy);

  • birth certificate (authenticated copy);

  • marriage certificate, in the case of candidates that changed their names after marriage, or name-changing certificate (authenticated copy);

  • copy of identity card;

  • medical certificate attesting the candidate is apt for enrolment in the programme (original)

  • for full-time learning: receipt attesting the payment of the admission fee (150 lei). Teaching staff children are exempted from paying the admission fee. Therefore, in this case, the admission dossier should contain a certificate form the relevant parent’s workplace. Candidates that enrolled to the July 2018 admission examination for full time learning programmes will be exempted from paying the admission fee for the distance learning examination. Therefore, in this case, their admission dossier should contain a copy of the competition license used for the 2018 FT examination.

  • 4 coloured passport-type photographs

* Admission fees, matriculation fees and tuitions ca be settled through payment order in The Faculty of Public Administration IF account: RO38BRDE445SV19964904450 (BRD, filiala Victoria București).  Make sure to clearly state the candidate’s first and last names (for the Faculty of Public Administration, also fill in the FAP acronym) and the type of learning you wish to follow (IF for full-time).

ADMISSION EXAMINATION

The admission examination consists of a written essay that will be submitted by the candidate along with the admission dossier. The essay should not exceed 6 pages (font: Times New Roman, line spacing: single), should touch upon the motivation the candidate has to attend the Faculty of Public Administration and will cover one of the following subjects:

1.      Human Rights – content, relevant documents
2.      The Romanian public administration - organization and functioning principles

3.      The Romanian constitution – history and content

It is mandatory that the essay have the following structure: Title page (candidate name, title); Contents (the list of sections and subsections, if they exist); Introduction, Section 1,2, .., Conclusion; Bibliography. To make sure sources are cited accordingly, the Chicago and Harvard citation styles may be used. Recommended minimal online bibliography:

        2.     The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The admission contest average is calculated form the baccalaureate exam average (80%) and the written essay grade (20%)
