Institutional Email: Managing the @[university-domain].ro account and ensuring the security of official communications.
The Importance of Using an Institutional Email Address
The exclusive use of institutional email addresses (ending in @administratiepublica.eu or @snspa.ro) when communicating with students and in professional activities is essential for the following reasons:
- Professionalism and Institutional Identity: An institutional email address lends an air of formality to the messages sent. It confirms the sender’s status within the faculty, eliminating any doubt regarding the authenticity of the information and upholding SNSPA’s standards of prestige.
- Data Protection and Information Security: Unlike commercial services (Gmail, Yahoo), the institutional platform provides a controlled and secure environment. It allows for the management of data flows in accordance with GDPR regulations, preventing the leakage of confidential information or unauthorized access to internal documents.
- Traceability and Official Archiving: Communication through official channels ensures a clear record of decisions and information exchanges. In the event of misunderstandings, disputes, or audits, correspondence sent to the institutional email address is the only officially recognized evidence.
- Organizational Efficiency: Using the institutional account provides direct access to the university's collaborative tools (calendar, databases, e-learning platforms), facilitating quick coordination between departments and students.
